” Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
– Corinthians 13:4
I’ve never been one to quote biblical scriptures, but this one was brought to my attention at a time when I wasn’t exactly sure what “love” was anymore. I kept thinking about it over and over again in my head, trying to dissect it. While at the same watching my brother from another mother make moves towards fulfilling it in reality as if I was witnessing a living testimony. Fast forward a couple of months when I took the picture above he absolutely knew this woman would one day become his wife, how soon he would accomplish this was his only obstacle. What I love about the picture above is how intertwined they seem to be with each other while at the same time looking as though they are completely comfortable with where they are at. Something I think is a true test of any relationship, having your life be weaved into someone else’s day to day, and be completely okay with that. Over the past year I’ve witnessed these two become what they were speaking of in Corinthians 13:4, especially in that patient part… lol
Congratulations to my bro Darius Wynn, and his Fiance Danielle Da Silva
First let me say I’m not a writer or journalist, but I do have some great thoughts and have a way breaking things down with words. I wouldn’t want to disrespect those who earned degrees in the field by saying that I am. Second I don’t have a photography degree, but I do take dope photos that tell a story if you follow my vision, I’ve been doing so since ’95. I’m not a a chef but I get down in the kitchen and can tell you about some magically delicious spots to eat by your self or take a date to. I’m just saying take heed to the advice I throw out. You’ll benefit… Trust me. Let me tell you what I am though. I’m just a gentleman a father of one, who likes food, photography, music, and life. On any given day that’s what you will find here. The thing with the “About page” is that you’re writing them yourself. True I guess no one knows you better than yourself, but a person is only gonna let you in so far. I don’t think I’ve ever read an autobiography where the author has told his faults or short comings to the fullest extent… only their accomplisments. Here I am to tell you by no means am I perfect, I am not without fault. You wanna know more than that, come straight to the source. You most likely will find times where you may disagree with a post, which is great it sparks discussion, leave a comment on the post, facebook if we’re connected, you got my number text me. Wanna do business shoot me an email Brandon.Reason@gmail.com , I appreciate the interaction.
Its been a long time since we’ve seen each other… How have you been? Good to hear. Me? Can’t complain… Hope that you’ve put some of the advice I left you with to good use. Safely… This go around you may notice that we’ll be doing some things a lil bit different. I have some guest writers that will come in a give some insight on their Hump Day adventures, advice, and stories. IF you got a story or situation that you think would be good entertainment shoot me an email. Until next time homies…
That weather switched around on us for real now, didn’t it? Bet you looking for that cuddle buddy now or at least a good space heater right? I heard WalMart got a sale on them, maybe you can find a “buddy” in that aisle too… Get a two for one special (Not really, please do not go looking for dates in Wally World).
Here it is the middle of the week, cold and rainy perfect weather for you know what… That’s right baking, lol. Shhh it’s one in the same, hear me out. This type of weather always reminds me of baking, not that I know how to do any but still. I think it has to do with the heat filling up the room when you spread open that oven door, or maybe its the aroma that those “sweet goodies” give off… (anybody picking up this allegory throwing down?) Like I was saying though, our Hump Day shenanigans and getting your Betty Crocker/Duncan Hines on can be one in the same. Think about the process of baking, first preparation, you gotta have the right ingredients and materials before you start(*Message) make sure everything right with yourself. It takes a little know how, no one wants a novice in the kitchen or bedroom right? A bit of experimenting, because doing the same thing over and over is gonna get boring you better keep some tricks up your sleeve. Hard work, if you ain’t kneading that dough right, that cake ain’t gonna climax(rise) right if you know what I mean. Time and patience, nothing comes quick and easy anymore does it? You gotta be willing to put in that time and work with it, kneading that dough and whipping that batter ain’t no punk. Well unless you got toys…a mixer, rolling pins, get your mind out the gutter, lol. Lastly you got to be willing to get your hands a little dirty at times, hell that self explanatory right? Oh yea also presentation, you eat with your eyes first, so if looks good it’ll taste good right? So where can I get some Brown Sugar at? Helpful hint, after you put those cookies, cakes, or whatever you’re making in the oven it usually takes sometime to finish right? Plenty of time to start caking with something else right? SideNote: Go Cards!!!
